Beyond the lines

We were going on a boat for 2-3 months to go to… It was the first battle of world war 1, and the muddy muck looked disgusting. We were sprinting towards the the Turkish soldiers with our troops. The reason we came here is our grandpa told us all about war, we thought it sounded cool and terrifying. He also told us dad was going to war this year.

My brother accidentally fell over when we were running towards our dad and heaps of shooting noises scared me, I looked behind me and I saw heaps of soldiers getting killed. I helped my brother to get back on his feet and we started running again. A bomb nearly killed us but we did fall over.

Then we found a place to hide and to avoid getting shot. I was taking care of my little brother through the whole battle, or the whole war he will be by my side at all times. We had finally found our dad after all this searching and nearly dying.

When we got to him a bomb went off where we were before, the person that was there when it went off got killed. We saw heaps and heaps of people dying. Dad said “I need to help the other soldiers kids.”

Brother I think that day might be dead, if he isn’t I don’t know where he to find him where will we start looking?.

The end.
