This term I have been learning about eating healthy, different kind of health, different food groups, how much fat you are eating every day.
First I learnt about eating and drinking healthy to eat healthy you need to eat fruit like strawberry, pineapple, apple, grapes, blueberry and stuff like that. How to drink healthy is drink lots of water and don't drink lots of fizzy.
Next I learnt about different kind of health like physical health, social health and mental health. First I learnt about physical health means workout, eating fruits and veges. Just be healthy. Next I learnt about mental health means stay positive and don't be shamed of your self. Then I learnt about social health, social health is like being with friends and don't be alone.
Then I learnt about different food groups the groups are Fruit and vegetables, meat and protein, grains, milk and dairy and junk food. First we got in groups my group was Alexis, Addyson and I. Then our teacher gave us a piece of paper and a magazine then we found food in the magazine cut it with sissours out and glued it on to the paper with a glue stick.
After that we look at the labels on a food packet. The thing we look at the most was sodium, sugar and total fat Then we looked at the per 100g the fat total had to be 10g or under the sugar had to be 10g or under and the sodium had to be 400g or under.
This was super fun I love learning about new stuff.
