ADRIFT

One beautiful day the sun was shining like shiny emeralds and the clouds were soft like a teddy bear. All the flying animals were flying like they usually do. Hi my name Lilly and I’m 11 years old, at school my nickname is ruby because I am in a friend group, we call each other nicknames all the time.

Today is Saturday and I’m just looking out my window,  looking at the beautiful view from my window. I wish I could ride on the giant whale by myself with nobody on with me. I know my house is on a flying giant whale, but I want to ride one by myself.

A quick bird came past, obviously I followed her to see where the bird was going, it went around my house a few times then I lost the bird, I thought it would lead to somewhere cool or a new place I guess not. I was devastated  because what if the bird took me to a giant flying whale without a house on it or even it would fly me to a whale.with nothing on it.

Wait, what it looked like another bird was coming straight towards me. BANG it wasn’t a bird it’s a human with bird wings on. I got closer and closer then I helped the person up, it was a lady. It got really windy I held myself down so I wouldn’t fly away. The lady put her flying goggles on and flew away I tried to catch her but I was to slow. I was so sad I walked away back into my house.

What was that sound “was that one of the birds, it can’t be.”  It was the lady again she threw a robe over and before she told me  “ if a string comes, grave it” I guess that was the rope that she wa talking about, so I graved it and tied it around the tree. Then the lady smiled at me I think we were going on an adventure. “Yay,” but I didn’t know it was 10 years of adventuring.

10 years later

After 10 years of going adventuring I finally got home not my sky home my parents home, I haven’t seen them in years. Last time I saw them was before a bird picked me up and took me to the house on the whale. That was years ago. I asked “ can I live with you again mum and dad please and they said “if you want to.”

Hi my name is Buster and it’s Christmas eve, I was watching my owner Julia jumping up and down on her bed that has flowers and bees on it. I was in her room because it was frozen like ice outside. She really wants a trampoline for christmas, she has been asking her mum and dad to get a trampoline for months. Then her mum came in and tucked Julia, into her bed.

Then her mum looked out the window. It looked really strange so I ran down stairs and looked out the giant window. “It was a trampoline for Julia, she is going to be really happy when her mum and dad shows her.” I hope she lets me jump with her on it with her.

Wait what was that was that a free rosish fox and his sister on the trampoline. What if they break it, poo on the it or even rip it. Then a skunk went on the trampoline “why are these animals on the trampoline, do they know It’s new. Why aren’t they on older trampolines not a brand new one.” The squirrels went on the tramp as well. Now I want to go on the trampoline with the other animals but Julia's mum and dad said “It’s too cold,” so I had to stay inside. I wish it wasn’t winter so we could go on it. Then I fell asleep without noticing

The next day Julia got to see the trampoline for the first time. I was really excited to jump on it with her. Julia ran out of her room, got dressed and ran outside. Her dad showed her the trampoline and she was so shocked, she has been waiting for this for so long. I also was so excited that I ran across the snow and went on the tramp. I was so happy that I finally got to go on the trampoline. Julia and I jumped on the tramp, then we had Christmas lunch and opened the rest of our present. We had the best Christmas ever.

One beautiful sunny day at sea I was watching the sunrise as I was drinking my tea. My name is Tim and I am the captain that steers the ship and shows the way. All the crew have known each other since high school so we are good friends. We were helping the builders with taking parts for a new house, that we can live in. We had to go across Somalia ocean, it took 6 weeks to get there.

Wait what was that in the distance it looked like it was creeping closer. “Ahh” we all screamed Pirates were robbing us, everyone else was screaming except me because I couldn’t hear it. Then the lead pirate came up to me and gave me a big fright and said “give me the key,” then he yelled again “give me the key!” I gave him the key because I didn’t want him to kill me. I got my walky talky at the back of the ship and told the robots to “get out of there box and hide somewhere else till I say go.”

The pirates were looking for the robots so they can tell them what to do and be in control of the whole ship. They looked in the box and I said “go” and the robots came out and BAM the robots were fighting the pirates.

Then the lead pirate was steering the ship then the robot touched him on the shoulder and he scared him so much that he turned around and looked at the rest of the pirate crew, there hands up and the lead pirate said “fine we’ll go.”

The robots said “this is yours, captain.” I gave them a smile and went to steer the boat or else we'll go the wrong way.

Adventures are the pits

One day I was at my friend's birthday party at an indoor playground, she was turning 8 years old my friend dared me to go down the slide into the ball pit with the room as silent as mice. I was so terrified because “what if it goes to dinosaurs, cavemen or evan zombies.” I was so worried my wrist were shaking, I held my breath, counted to five and screamed all the way down.

I was right it did take me to a different world but it was a ball world. I kept falling, falling and falling like I was in a never ending hole, till I face planted onto some balls. I touched my face and a lollipop was there, it was so gross I could throw up. I saw the top of the ball pit, I walked backwards a bit to see it better but then I nearly fell down to the black part of the pit, I saved myself by taking a step forwards “few that was close.” I was so relieved that I survived nearly falling.

Then I started to climb to the tippy top, I had to jump for it, I made it. Then I lost my grip on one hand and hanged on with the other, I thought I was going to die. A plaster came down onto my face and I had to get it off with 2 hands, wait I need to hold onto something “ahh!!,” wait I didn't fall I had to be holding onto something it was a lollipop stick. I was terrified to take it out of the balls and back on. I didn’t fall “now I can get to the top of the ball pit no time.” I climbed and climbed then, I made it all the way up.

I am so glad, relieved and excited I made it up to the top of the unusual ball pit. Well my friends didn’t think I could get out huh. I looked at the lollipop and there were only 2 tiny dirt stains so I ate it anyways. My friends were shocked that I got out.
