W.A.L.T Recall events through the eyes of an animal.
My worst day ever
It was another beautiful day at the African Savannah. It was early March, today we start migrating. My dad was the lead bull. It was so hot and we needed a rain cloud which would make us cooler.
My dad roared to start my herds migration. We were smelling the morning air while we were migrating. Then we saw the pride of lions asleep in the sun and I hoped that they will not get me or my herd. The lions looked like they were getting ready to pounce it looked like they are going to get me.
I can smell the pride of lions are coming run the pride of lions are going to eat me. I was super scared because I am only 2 years old. Then I fell in the hideous black water. I tasted the disgusting river water hoping not to drown. Thank goodness I was still alive. Next a crocodile showed up and played tug of war with the pride of lions, who were pulling me out of the water. It really hurt.
Next the lions dug their claws into my week skin and pulled me onto the sand. Then I heard my herd come and rescue me by helping me up by the side of the sand.
Then my herd chased the pride of lions away with their sharp horns. They were super scared and they ran off through a cloud of dust for good.
So I finally got out of the tug a war and I felt better, then we finish our migrating we were still sightseeing. I was so relieved that I survived the tug of war. The lions ran away for good and I have no idea what happened with the crocodile. Hopefully he would not come back to get me.

Hi Danielle, I like how you have taken your time developing your introduction to your story and haven't just got straight to the action. By doing this you have set the scene and I have a picture in my head about what the day and place would have been like. Next time you write a story like this could you can some speech or sound words to add interest? Keep up the great writing Danielle, I look forward to reading more!
